Okay so Maleficent is pretty much changing the whole story of Sleeping Beauty by saying Maleficent was never the bad guy...which is interesting because that's never happened before, and really the bad guy is the King (Aurora's dad). It's very intriguing because it gives the full background of Maleficent and also shows that Maleficent and the King had more of a story together other than with Aurora. But sometimes in the movie I find Aurora a bit annoying, I don't know why she just kinda picks at me however if you put yourself in her shoes (not literally of course) you find that that's probably how you would act and maybe even worse. The surprising turns and twists in the story keep you hanging on your seat begging for more and gives a jaw-dropping finish which I can't tell you because then you can't even watch it! It also is more dark and sinister than the original and is in the huge fantasy genre with bits of comedy in between.
It's an amazing movie and I would recommend everyone to watch it. Finally I shall rate this 10/10
